Here at Red Letter Finances, we believe that the beginning and the end of all we have become stewards of should be viewed through the Scriptural contexts of Jesus Christ. The reason why we have claimed the name of Red Letter Finances is because we want to place Jesus’ mindset on finances in the foreground of our business model.

Jesus’ words throughout the Bible are usually found because they are red in color. So, as you flip through your Bible in search of God’s view of money, you may see a lot of red letters. Jesus talked about money and possessions more than He spoke on Heaven, hell, or faith. Think about that for a moment. He came to save the world from sin, yet He spoke of money more than His primary reason for being on earth.

Jesus knew that an understanding of finances would alleviate much of the reason why some people believe in the old saying, “Money is the root of all evil.” Money, as with any other resources, if handled with a holy lens, can lead to fulfilling God’s purpose of loving others on a level that cannot be achieved with the mindset that money is evil.

To embrace the mindset of Christ within our checkbooks, wallets, and bank accounts is the goal of our company. We want you all to be assured of your decisions in the way of finances as much as your place in eternity. With this goal in mind, we ask that all our clients evaluate their stewardship of money with a biblical perspective. If you have trouble with what that looks like, we are here to help.

Biblical Philosophy

Be Free From the Chains of Money

In a world dominated by the pursuit of wealth, the Bible offers timeless wisdom for breaking free from the chains of money. In Matthew 6:24, we learn that we cannot serve both God and money, emphasizing the need to shift our focus. By releasing financial stress and anxiety, we discover peace. Proverbs 22:7 reminds us that debt enslaves, while Psalm 55:22 encourages us to cast our cares on the Lord. When we embrace this wisdom, we find ourselves calmer and less prone to anxiety, as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches. Break free from financial chains, find inner peace, and embrace the true wealth of faith and contentment.

"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth."

Matthew 6:24 NASB

"The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower becomes the lender’s slave."

Proverbs 22:7   NASB

"Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken."

Psalms 55:22   NASB

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:6-7   NASB
